A guide to peptide care

What an online visit needs to do.

Telehealth is care from a distance, by video, phone or an online exchange. The person treating you still needs enough information to decide on care.

Find out how the visit works

  • Medical board guidance rejects treatment based only on a fixed online form.

  • A group of medical boards called the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) says patients need a way to raise further questions.

  • The medical board guidance calls for needed tests or sending you for care in person.

  • For remote care, the patient's location is central to the licence check.

A form is not the same in every setting

FSMB accepts live and delayed online visits if the care meets the proper standard.

A delayed visit means the person treating you reads what you sent at a later time. Ask the person treating you whether they have enough information to decide on care, or whether you need tests or an examination in person.

As of September 2026, state prescribing rules differ. FSMB's policy guides boards; it is not a nationwide law.
