A guide to peptide care

Physician-led peptide clinic: get your bearings.

A plain-language guide to finding and understanding this kind of care. Start with the person, the medicine and the full bill.

Start with the checklist

A closed linen notebook and a glass of water beside a softly lit green curtain.
Write down who will treat you, the medicine name and the full cost.

Start with what can be checked

A clinic calling itself physician-led means a doctor is involved. Ask these questions to find out what the doctor will do and what you would receive.

  • Get the person's full name and ask what part they play in your care.

  • Ask for the ingredient, product name and who makes it.

  • Ask for the ongoing total, plus the terms for stopping.

A small bit of background

Tiny chemical parts link together in a short chain called a peptide, rather like beads on a string. Proteins contain the same kinds of parts. Insulin is an example.

A product's approval, legal status and safety are separate questions that the word peptide cannot answer.

To compound a medicine is to prepare it to order. In September 2026, these made-to-order preparations lack approval by the US drug agency, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
